Chroma's Sport Relief App

Chroma designed, built and released the official 2012 Sport Relief mobile apps for iPhone and Android.

The Sport Relief In Your Pocket app is packed full of fun and informative features and is available for free from the App Store and Android Market.

It features regular updates from all the Sport Relief challenges, as well as images and video content from the celebs involved; including Miranda Hart, Gary Lineker, Vernon Kay, Colin Jackson, Dermot O'Leary and Fearne Cotton.

And there’s more. There’s also the wicked 'Fling a-Face' game, which enables players to catapult one of the celebrities' faces - or your own face - across the country to collect points. Warning though, it's got great game play, longevity and is highly addictive.

The app also has an ‘Inspire Me' click or shake-a feature, which includes stories of individuals' Sport Relief fundraising activities.

Past Sport Relief challenges include David Walliams swimming the Thames and Eddie Izzard completing a mind-boggling 43 marathons in 51 days. There's also the all-important Donate function, so you can send your donation directly to Sport Relief from your mobile

Other tech developments include in-app push alerts, sms donate function, a fully integrated content management system and there’s a fantastic auto generated billboard that takes the latest news pic and story, reworks it and places it in the home screen landscape on a billboard.

The Sport Relief event runs between 23 and 25 March 2012 and it will be televised on the BBC.
