Chroma were commissioned by Sky's above-the-line-agency, Brothers and Sisters, to develop the web interface for Sky Sports high-profile Autumn 2008 'Epic' campaign. The campaign was devised to drive subscriptions by highlighting Sky's market-defining coverage across major sports events including the Premier League, Champions League, British and Irish Lions, Ryder Cup and The Ashes.
The multi-million pound Epic campaign launched simultaneously across multiple channels including print, outdoor, TV and web. All channels carried the URL of the destination website where users could interact with the campaign imagery and discover the depths of coverage available through Sky.
The site was developed to complement the look and feel of the other campaign touchpoints but with added interactivity to reward and further engage users who arrived at the destination.
Key features of this project are:
Interaction design - Chroma took the assets provided by Sky and used in other static formats and devised an interaction schema to provide real interest to an online audience.
Development time - The site was developed in AS3 utilising improved performance of the Flash player and turned round in 72 hours.
